Most churches in every denomination have been declining for years now. Not good. Obviously if the population keeps growing and churches keep declining, then less and less people are going to church each and every week. Something must change.
This Sunday Night at Awaken from 6:00-7:15pm as we go through our "Identity Series". We are going to talk about our Christian Worldview and how Christians and Christian churches, for the most part, have not lives out a Christian Worldview. I believe for this reason the church is in decline. It has become about programs and not people. It has become about lists and not love. Join us this Sunday Night as we seek to do something different in and to our culture to make Christs name famous by living out a true Christian Worldview.

Many churches have forgotten that where He is lifted up, He will draw men unto Himself, and that we must decrease so that He may increase. If we would stop trying to do programs to promote and lift our church up to reach the bottom line and start focusing on lifting up Christ, which is love, maybe we would see a difference. How do you show people who Christ is? Is it a dramatic program or play, sometimes for those in the church, or is it holding and dressing the homeless person on the street to help keep him warm? Is it letting the drug dealer know that God loves him right now where he is?
good thoughts Tony. I agree. Lets do it. Just talked to a drug dealer today, lets love him and reach Him for God's glory.
I am really tired of denominations period. I will be so into the message of God's word and then someone has to mention who we are not as christians but as a certain kind of subscribing church members. I am putting it mildly because I do not wish to offend anyone. There are still alot of christians out there that will only visit a certain denomination and look down on those who do not follow that view. I will visit any church that is the Lord's church. I understand there might be different comfort levels for people and their order of worship and that is fine I do not have a problem if you are earnest in seeking God's truth. I just do not like people talking about my past church visits like I am an outcast and need to be taken in at the "Right Church". I pray for patience and understanding of all this and hope to visit at Awaken one Sunday.
